Bucket Elevator(BUC5)

These machines are used to move material vertically, carrying material up in buckets which are attached to either a chain or a belt. The two basic types of bucket elevators are continuous and centrifugal, with the material being conveyed determining which style of elevator to use.

Continuous Bucket Elevators

• Handle sluggish and lumpy material

• Buckets move at slow speed and are spaced closely together

• Require loading leg to ensure proper loading of buckets

Centrifugal Bucket Elevators

• Handle loose and free flowing material

• Buckets move at high speed and are spaced out more on the chain/belt

• Low inlet position due to ability to dig out material
